*10+ years experience resource required* *Direct Client* Job Title: Sr. QA Engineer Location: Rancho Cordova, CA Duration: 6-12 months REQUIRED SKILLS Knowledge of medium to large IT system design and operations (hardware, software, telecommunications). Understanding of IT quality assurance processes (requirements analysis, root cause analysis, structured testing, test planning / execution, test documentation, troubleshooting, defect tracking) Demonstrated skills in system testing and managing large system testing efforts. Experience with processes and tools for configuration management and version control. Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills. Experience with Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Microsoft Visio. Experience with MS Access, including the ability to formulate queries and reports. Experience with Microsoft Project is desirable. Ability to actively engage stakeholders in QA reviews. Ability to work as part of IT quality assurance / testing team Ability to analyze requirements and specifications Ability to transform product requirements, use cases and testing tasks into independent test cases Ability to communicate and educate non-technical users Proficient in authoring test plans, test cases/scripts, traceability matrices Proficient in executing test cases/scripts and documenting test results Proficient in systems quality, troubleshooting and support (hardware and software) Proficient in supporting multiple projects concurrently Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized. Ability to work additional hours as needed. Candidate must be a team player and willing to teach and to learn from others.
