Position Title: SQL Developer
Duration: 6 months C2H
Location: Linthicum, MD

Description:

Documents technical and system specifications documents for ETL processes
and performs tests on processes.
Develops data warehouse models, prepares ETL scripts, and generates
required reports for end users.
As needed, meets with representatives from various departments to discuss
modifications needed to customize software to the specific departmental
needs.
Performs tests, reviews, and revises minor programming modifications to
make certain modifications are done properly.
Provides support to developers requiring access to tables, stored
procedures, and data objects.
Maintains program documentation to depict the modifications to the source
code and provide an audit trail.
Maintains and modifies data using SQL scripts.
Develops reports in Crystal Reports as well as the AMS system’s Data
Analyzer application.
Maintains library of available reports on network drives.
Converts reports, as needed, when software or databases are upgraded.
Analyzes data for quality assurance to ensure data integrity.
Runs data integrity reports to check for data problems and notifies the
appropriate users.
Works closely with departments to define data standards and keeps
documentation on best practices.
Works closely with departments to ensure data standards are being followed.
Administers staff training on computer hardware and software as needed.
Periodically reviews and updates instructional material for use by staff.
Researches, reviews and makes recommendations on staff requests/suggestions
for new system applications that will enhance the current systems.
Reviews open Help Desk tickets regarding .Net programs, Personify, and SQL
Server.
Responds to end user requests and closes tickets promptly.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Attends continuing education sessions to keep abreast of changes in the
industry.
Networks with other individuals in similar professional positions.
Reviews literature to keep up-to-date on current trends.
Prepares a monthly report to the Sr. Manager, Data Development Systems.

VI.          JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Working knowledge of object-orientated methodology, SQL, XML, web and data
services, and ETL processes required
Experience with Crystals Reports 8.5 or Higher required, Crystal Reports 11
considered a plus
A minimum of 2 years’ experience developing in Visual Studio .NET C#
required
Requires 2 - 5 years’ experience programming in Microsoft development
environment (VB, C++)
Knowledge of full life cycle development required
Business experience with CRM, financial, broadcast messaging, eCommerce
applications, or Association Management software solutions preferred
Demonstrated skills in technical documentation
Experience with Personify a plus
Well-organized with ability to document procedures and keep clear, thorough
records
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Ability to travel occasionally
This position is classified as exempt under the Computer Professional
category
