Title of the Position : *MDX Architect with Business Objects and SAP / BW*
Duration: *6+ months
*Location: *Irwindale, CA*
*MDX Architect who works with Business Objects and SAP / BW *

*This role is similar to the old fashion DBA role, where the Oracle DBA
could look at SQL and tune it and find problems. *

*We need someone who can review the MDX and tune the reports or BW so they
run faster.*

*Interview will be mainly on “fixing” or tuning MDX. - Figure out why
reports that other people have built are “slow.” - With the integration of
Business Objects and SAP this requires MDX Performance tuning…*
*Description of the Responsibilities *
Ensure the Business Objects Suite of Tools successfully integrates with SAP
BW
- Debug Performance Problems with Webi's MDX Queries and the SAP BW MDX
Engine
- Debug Result Differences between BEX Queries and Webi Results because of
the difference in the MDX & SQL engines
- Solve for Reporting Performance Differences between Crystal Reports and
Webi with SAP BW
- Recommend SAP BW Cube Redesigns to improve performance of Webi's MDX
Queries
- Recommend SAP BW Query Design changes to improve reporting performance.
- Create Design and Programming standards to ensure maximum performance and
consistancy between Bex Queries via Crystal and Webi.
- Solve for Security issues between Business Objects and SAP BW
- Recommend solutions for single sign on security and firewall
configurations with Business Objects
*Minimum Requirements
*
*8+ Years of overall Experience with 3+ years in Business Objects and SAP BW
performance tuning *
*- Expert knowledge of the MDX Query Language and the SAP MDX Query Engine
- Expert Knowledge of SAP BW process and Snow Flake Design with BW
Accelerator
- Deep knowledge of performance tuning between Crystal Reports, Webi and SAP
BW
- Practical experience with SAP Security and Business Objects.
- Very Good communication and documentation skills
- Past responsibilities for Performance Tuning*
