Location- San Jose, CA Duration- 6 Months *Job Description:* Looking for a Technical lead/owner of customer-facing Web Security Appliance software (Enterprise-Class Web Proxy/Cache, Layer 4 Traffic Monitor, and associated feature set). Depending on experience/skill-set, candidate might be hired on to own/lead one or more large component(s) with a growth path towards owning/leading the entire appliance software stack as WSA (*Web Security Appliances*) Platform Architect. *Primary Responsibilities:* Work closely with a cross functional team to design new features Review and sign off on requirements documents Write specification documents and drive sign-off Implement new features and extend existing functionality *Required Experience and Skills:* Demonstrated technical ownership/leadership of large component(s) or whole product/platform Years of experience: 8 -10+ Influenced/led a team of at least 5 s/w developers at varying levels of seniority Languages: *Must-have:* *C** (significant experience: 5-10 years)* Nice-to-have: Python, C++ Significant high-level software design experience. Significant problem solving skills. Significant UNIX experience. Experience with high-performance systems.
