Months (Contract to Hire)

Job Title       :  Sr. SQL Server DBA
Location       :  Parsippany, NJ
Duration       : 6-9 Months (Contract to Hire)

Candidate must be an U.S Citizen/Green Card/EAD Holder in order to be
considered for this spot.
This spot would require a f2f interview with the client.

Job  Responsibilities:
Client  is seeking a Sr.SQL Server Database Administrator/SQL Server
Developer for a six to nine month contract to hire position. This position
is 80% DBA responsibilities and 20% SQL Server responsibilities. The ideal
candidate should possess either some financial systems or real estate
systems or accounting systems within their background. The firm has a
mid-size team of SQL Server developers, Database Administrators and Business
Intelligence analysts and they are seeking to have an additional SQL Server
DBA to join them a new long term effort. The firm possesses large SQL Server
data sets that support the firms internal and external web based
applications.

Job Description:
Must have a good understanding of the SDLC.
Should possess experience with the use of version control software, such as
ClearCase or VSS.
Excellent problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
Must be able to work in a dynamic team environment.
Must be able to communicate clearly with management, peers, and customers
regarding requirements, issues, and resolutions.
Familiarity with job scheduling tools such as Argent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Conducting data investigations and providing complex data analysis and
ad-hoc queries.
Monitoring queries and report behavior to assure performance expectations
are met.
OLTP/OLAP Design and development.

Technical Qualification:
Minimum of eight to ten years of SQL Server database administration
experience working with SQL Server 2000, 2005 & 2008.
Experience with SQL Server administration.
Should possess experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), DTS
and development of stored procedures.
Should possess experience using T-SQL (Transact SQL) for procedural
programming, local variables and support functions for previous versions of
SQL Server.
Experience working with large data sets.
At least five years of experience analyzing, designing, developing,
implementing, modeling, testing, and supporting web based applications,
including tuning using indexing and partitioning techniques, and designing,
developing, and implementing ETL.
The ideal candidate should possess strong experience with SQL Server
2000/2005 and 2008.

Educational Qualifications for this position:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or
related field or equivalent.
