Write programs that span platforms. Code to and/or create Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) Write code for enhancing existing programs or developing new programs Perform unit testing and debugging. Set test conditions based upon code specifications. Able to debug most program errors (simple to complex). Support transition of application throughout the Product Development life cycle. Document what has to be migrated. This candidate will provide support on several WMB interfaces and they will provide development, test, and implementation support for maintenance and corporate initiatives as needed. The exact skill we need is with Websphere Message Broker (WMB). Anything else they have is a plus but they must have strong WMB expertise. Additional skills that would be helpful are DB2, COBOL, CICS, SQL, and MQ. The ultimate candidate would also have JAVA skills and could be used to help convert many of the WMB interfaces over to JAVA.
