*Senior Java Developer – Server Side Development*
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Duration: 6–9 months assignment
Candidates do not need to be local, but they need to relocate for the
position
Start date is ASAP
We are assisting our client, located in Palo Alto, CA, with their search to
hire 4 server side Java developers. These developers will help in the
server side development of a global sales web application. Being a part of
a small team, a willingness to work in all parts of the system is required.
*Responsibilities:*

- Develop new products and perform upgrades, enhancements or maintenance
to existing products
- Effectively participate in functional/technical group discussions with
team members and requirements definition meetings with the Product team and
a variety of clients
- Explore product requirements to figure out technical difficulties,
recommend implementation approaches, and draft functional specifications
(FRDs)
- Perform unit testing and provide guidance/support during Integration
testing phase
- Resolve defects during QA testing and in post-release patches
- Work and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and
clients as needed, including collaborating with team members or clients
based internationally
- Other duties as assigned

*Qualifications/Requirements:*

- *At least 5 years of hands-on experience/knowledge in:*
- *Core Java development (J2EE & J2SE)*
- *Spring framework*
- *Experience creating and manipulating web services (REST)*
- *Oracle SQL (and PL/SQL) for joins, data queries, functions,
packages, etc…*
- *UNIX (prefer HP/UX or Linux)*
- *Experience with Weblogic or Websphere*
- Experience with multi-threaded programming
- Excellent Problem solving skills.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
*Nice to have skills:*
- Prefer to have Sun Certification for Java Programmer/Developer or Web
Component.
- Experience with EJB’s
