*Java J2EE Webservices Developer 4-6 Months Contract Santa Clara, CA Details:* Perform as aWeb developer for the development of the next generation Web 2.0 based Intranet Portal. The main responsibilities include: • Perform end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of web applications which meet or exceed business requirements. • Develop and architecturally sound, modular, component-driven software applications. • Develop web services to meet defined acceptance criteria. • Work with business analysts and/or users to elicit and confirm requirements. • Document functional and technical specifications including UML diagrams. • Develop test plans, including test cases and data • Perform unit/system integration tests for resolution of identified defects • Document and communicate regular project status to the Project Management team.
*Qualifications:* • Extensive Java and JavaEE development experience, preferably on multi-tier web-based business applications. • 4+ years of strong Java/J2EE experience in developing applications preferably web based; certification a plus. • *Experience with designing and developing RESTful Web Services - Apache CXF, Spring Web Services, RESTEasy, Jersey, *etc. • Strong working knowledge of design patterns, object oriented analysis, modular design, and programming. • Demonstrated proficiency with *XML, XML Schema and XPath. * • Familiarity with frontend user interface development technologies like *Javascript, AJAX, JSON, HTML/DOM. * • Experience with JavaEE application servers such as JBoss, Glassfish or Tomcat. • Strong knowledge of O/R Mapping frameworks such as Hibernate, JPA. • Solid at Unit Testing (e.g., JUnit, etc.) and Test-Driven Development. • Hands on experience with open source web service stack(s) like PHP, CGI, Apache. • Working knowledge of the Unix/Linux platform. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Experience with Seibel especially eServices module is a plus. • Experience with EhCache, Inifnispan or other caching solutions is desirable but not mandatory • Experience with source code control systems like CVS, SVN is a plus. • Working experience with open source build/CI tools such as Maven, Jenkins is a plus.
