Responsibilities . Candidate will work with existing database staff in these areas: o Ensuring the high availability, performance and security of the production database o Tuning at the instance and SQL statement level o Supporting the test and development database environments Requirements . 5-7 Years Oracle experience . 1+ year experience in Oracle 11g . Excellent SQL and PL/SQL development skills . Proficiency in shell scripting . Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment . Ability to work as part of and with high performing and aggressive teams . Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written . Positive team player, ability to effectively communicate with peers, customers and management . Experience with: o Real Application Clusters o Data Guard o Oracle Installations (Linux/Solaris/Windows) o Unix/Linux System Administration o Change Management o Backup Recovery Strategies o RMAN o Functions/Procedures/Packages o SQL and PL/SQL Tuning o Views/Materialized Views o Schema Management/Design (DML/DDL) Beneficial . MS or BS in Computer Science . Oracle DBA Certification . Experience with: o Oracle Advanced Replication Additional Notes: Candidates must have experience doing development in Oracle 11g In this role a person will focus about 70% of their efforts on development and 30% on Oracle DBA type work. It is important that they have strong skills in development with some experience in designing and architecting The key skills that they must be strong in are improving performance and reporting -- in terms of DW They should also have experience with exports, imports, and performance indexes Financial experience is a must-have and clearing experience is a huge plus The person must be a quick learner and hard worker.
