Job Role : Java Tech Lead Required Technical Skill Set: J2EE Web Application/Unix Desired Experience Range : 7 to 10 years Location of Requirement : Mclean, VA/Cincinnati, OH Client : TCS Rate : Open Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency): Must-Have:- 1.Strong knowledge on J2EE fundamentals with experience in Object Oriented Design and Development 2.Production support experience with in depth knowledge on shell scripting in Unix/Linux platform 3.An understanding and knowledge of MVC, Hibernate, Web Services, JPA, Design Patterns, EJB 3.0, Maven 4.Integration knowledge on IBM TAM, Apache and Weblogic 5.Ability to write native db queries, JDBC, JPQL 6.Must have knowledge on OWASP security recommendations and fixes. 7.Must have knowledge on Performance tuning and identifying issues and resolution in the application 8.Sybase/Oracle Database knowledge for writing and optimizing complex sql queries 9.Work experience in Waterfall methodology of software development 10.Good communication and interpersonal Skill Good-to-Have :- 1.Knowledge on Perl scripts 2.Exposure to SOA technologies 3.Work experience in Agile Methodology of software development Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role 1:Understanding the legacy application technology landscape and to propose upgrade solution 2:Meet with the Architecture team to finalize and agree upon the application design. 3:Design and develop the system based on the proposed solution and to remediate the un supported technologies 4:Work with the development team to produce quality output in a timely fashion. 5:Perform code review and design review, and resolve deployment issues 6:Come up with Deployment plan and implement the application changes to production 7:Support application in production during the warranty period.
