*Title: PHP Developer Location: New Providence, NJ Duration: 3months renewing Need Local* *Must Haves:* Experience doing PHP development Experience with LAMP (Linux (operating system), Apache HTTP Server, MySQL (database software), and PHP, Perl or Python,) API Experice Word Press experience Must Understand MVC framework *Plusses* Subversion or GIT source code management tools Ruby/Ruby on Rails MySQL/MSSQL and/or Oracle Databases JavaScript, HTML and CSS / Web Services HTML and current CSS styling JavaScript, jQuery or Prototype experience is a plus. Linux command line, BASH, and writing shell scripts *Role;* This developer will be working with the Director of the Search Engine Marketing department to maintain and develop backoffice, web-based applications. The ideal candidate will be have an expert knowledge of MySQL, Linux and Web Services. A certain degree of creativity is required to develop custom solutions for business problems. They will be pushing out tools, as well as maintain and updating tools. They will be doing all internal work. Candidates are expected to be fluent in PHP5, as well as having a strong grasp and interest in the Web 2.0 philosophy. Experience with Ruby and its various frameworks – Rails and Sinatra, for the most part – is a definite plus (not required), but a strong will to learn Ruby is equally beneficial. Experience in automation is a big plus.
