Sr Linux Systems Engineer 6-12 Months Contract San Jose, CA Knowledge & Skills: • 7-10 Years of IT Experience • 5+ Years of Red Hat Linux administration • Experience supporting 24x7 mission critical Internet applications. • ASP and online hosting experience a huge plus. • Thorough understanding of networking concepts and Internet protocols. • Familiarity with hosted application service provider environments, including remote administration of devices. • Experience with JBoss and/or J2EE environments would be plus. • 5 or more years of experience in Windows Server and Linux administration in an Internet-focused production environment. • Familiarity with a formal software release process, including the software build process and source control. • Excellent communication and prioritization skills. • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
