Job Title: Lamp/Unix Admin Location: Falls Church,VA Duration: 6+ Months Contract Required Skills: Strong Linux and Web Site Administration Skills in a LAMP environment Experience running high volume web services, including requirements and capacity analysis, service configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting Strong MySQL administration skills 5+ years experience with UNIX/Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu or similar OS) 3 - 5 years experience managing public facing, front end web servers/web sites, including configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting 3 - 5 years Apache setup, configuration and administration experience 3+ years MySQL database setup, configuration and administration experience 3+ years experience shell scripting and/or other programming (Perl, Python) to accomplish various tasks. Experience hardening the Linux OS and closing security vulnerabilities associated with Internet facing servers Strong understanding of user security configuration models associated with LAMP environments Familiarity with various monitoring and administration tools (Puppet, Nagios, et. al) along with experience dealing with a web site that has high SLA objectives.
