ICD 10, Healthcare Reform, etc – even if it’s high level 1. Strong architecture skills- understand EA principles, can speak to it, but this is a solution architect who is the layer sitting underneath EA, and they are aligned w/the LOB (claims, pharmacy benefits, patient sys etc) alignment could be done by LOB and or by specific projects..Technology is what we discussed lot of MF, distributed technologies. the most important skills that are needed have been revised and confirmed as of now 1. health care experience people coming from Medco, or United Healthcare or other PBM 2. Communication extremely important 3. Architecture skills...understanding EA is important but they need to be technical, put a solution together.
