*Contractor Role:  Technical Lead*



*Overview: *

The Technical Lead will lead the design, development, and transition to
production of software solutions encompassing multiple platforms, and
technologies for a global project. The successful candidate will have
strong leadership and technical management skills as well as 5 years of
experience leading application implementation teams in a large project
environment.

*Primary Role and Responsibilities – Technical Lead *Reports to IT Project
Manager

*Integration & Architecture *

·         Provide technical leadership and management of the project’s IT
integration and architecture resources

·         Plans and coordinates objects in scope for Chevron development to
ensure efficient resource planning and understands impact if certain
development activities have problems

·         Ensures Chevron standards for code development and documentation
are adhered to and performs quality reviews of tech specs, unit test plans
& code

·         Point of contact for development /integration leads from third
party solution providers

·         Coordinate on-shore and off-shore development resources,
communicating status of deliverables to Project Leadership

·         Participates in evaluation of system alternatives, provides
estimates for development solutions

·         Ensure solution components meet documented business, technical &
system requirements with quality

·         Plans & coordinates the overall project environment needs
including development, testing, and cutover.

·         Coordinate TFS migration of code using defined QA/QC processes

·         Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure proper integration
of application and data in all environments



*Compliance*

Ensures compliance with Chevron standards and policies

Supports projects remediation of all risk areas identified by the
Architecture Review , Risk Assessment and IP compliance reviews.

Communicates IP Compliance and other requirements to the team (including
changes and updates during the project lifecycle)

Works in partnership with identified IRM coordinator to plan IP compliance
reviews and remediate identified risks.

*Cutover & Transition to Operations*

·         Manage Remedy Changes

·         Assist in the development of support and business continuity plan
as needed

·         Plan, test and manage execution of the cutover plan and transfer
plan

* *

*Project Controls & Schedule Management*

Defines application development & technical architecture plans in MS
Project. Manages, monitors and reports status on deliverables against plan

·         Actively support and follow project control & methodologies
including issue and risk management, scope management, Go/No Go

·         Participate in and ensure compliance with findings from key
project reviews including Architecture Reviews, Risk Assessments, IRM ,
Project Assurance Reviews etc. .



*REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS*

Ø  A minimum of 5 years experience in leading application development or
integration efforts in a project environment.

Ø  Demonstrated knowledge in SAP Payroll or HR  application development

Ø  Demonstrated ability to work effectively on teams, respecting others'
opinions, valuing diversity, building consensus and assisting others to
accomplish team goals and objectives

Ø  Prior experience within Chevron of HR or Payroll business functions is a
plus

Ø  Demonstrated experience overseeing application development in a highly
integrated environment

Ø  Strong understanding across technology domains, as well as technology
integration at all levels (i.e. data, solutions, etc.)

Ø  Experience in technical planning, estimation and monitoring of plans

Ø  Excellent organizational & communication skills with internal and
external stakeholders

Ø  Functional knowledge of the following:  MS Office 2007, MS Project,
SharePoint 2010

Ø  Bachelors degree in MIS, Computer Science or related discipline.
