*Title:* *QA Consultant with Microstrategy* posted on 2013-07-12 12:49:42 *Job Description:*The Testing Consultant designs the test strategy, test plans, and test case specifications, plans test resources, participates in code reviews creates or configures the test environment, creates or procures the test data, writes the scripts that will execute the tests, executes test cases, records test case results, documents and tracks defects, performs test coverage analysis. To fulfill this role the Testing Consultant must develop tests that identify defects as precisely as possible. The objective is to obtain as much test coverage as possible with a minimum set of test cases and repeated rework and retest. The Testing Consultant may be the Lead Consultant on a project. Oversee Quality Assurance responsibilities: - Hands-on knowledge of MicroStrategy highly desired - Forecast QA testing schedule for all tickets - Ensure all QA tickets have proper installation instructions and comprehensive QA requirements - Design test cases from requirements and compose SQL queries for testing - Execute test cases - Communicate any issues from testing with dev team and assist in investigation - Record all test cases and results in a testing document and store in ticket folder on shared drive - Mediate all communication between QA team and dev team - Manage all QA tickets on Sharepoint - Manage monthly release schedule document on Sharepoint - Report high level QA status to MktDM management and escalate bigger issues - Schedule testing reviews with business stakeholders and demonstrate testing and results - Address ad hoc data concerns from business stakeholders - Must have written and verbal fluency with English and very strong SQL skills *Job Requirements:* The Testing Consultant designs the test strategy, test plans, and test case specifications, plans test resources, participates in code reviews creates or configures the test environment, creates or procures the test data, writes the scripts that will execute the tests, executes test cases, records test case results, documents and tracks defects, performs test coverage analysis.
