*VISA: GC or US Citizen only* Job Title: Build Release Engineer Location: Folsom, CA Duration: 3-18 months Years of Experience & Expertise Level: Mid-level experience Project Description: The Build Engineer handles build support functions associated with PMEase QuickBuild and the legacy SFA Build System. Additional support of build-related tools and infrastructure on multiple operating systems is a possibility. This engineer would be primarily resource responsible for day to day operations work in the Visual and Parallel Computing Group's (VPG) Software Factory consisting of 10+ QuickBuild instances running on 100+ build servers supporting build customers spread across multiple sites/countries. Daily Responsibilities: -Build failure analysis -Build throughput time analysis -Provision new build servers -Coordinate/execute build server patching -Build administration - permissions management, node administration -Build configuration management - add/edit build configurations -Configure Incredibuild agent settings & audit same -Monitor build space on build agents and build store and take action as needed. -Performance troubleshooting- identify bottlenecks, track metrics -Customer communication -QuickBuild maint enance - schedule and execute QuickBuild upgrades, plugin updates, and downtime testing. -Release support- running of scripts provided by the development community, troubleshooting release script runtime errors -Non-production environment refreshes- periodically the various environments used strictly by developers need to be refreshed with production data -After-hours support- notebook and VPN access to be provided to support after hours work consisting of environment refreshes, production hardware upgrades, service pack installs, and work deemed too disruptive to the factory to be performed during normal business hours.
