*Job Title: Front-End Web Developer*
*Location : Orlando, FL*
*Duration : 6+ Months Contract*
*JOB DESCRIPTION *
Our company is looking for a front-end web developer with very strong HTML,
CSS, and JavaScript experience and advanced knowledge of XML, AJAX and
asynchronous web services. In this role, you will be responsible for
developing rich web user interfaces that integrate with back-end components
and result in web solutions that people want to use. You will be part of a
team that works on various web-based applications and ultimately contribute
to a high-quality user experience. As a front-end developer, you will work
with the application development team to implement a presentation layer
which delivers information from the application layer for further
processing and display it in a variety of formats.
*Primary Duties and Responsibilities *
- Develop rich web user interfaces that integrate with back-end components
using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Apply other approaches as needed, such as JSON, AJAX and JQUERY
- Develop successful user interfaces that are standards-compliant,
cross-browser compatible, and performance optimized
- Create and maintain a repository of common and reusable code
- Develop and maintain documentation for front end code
- Act as a support resource for back end developers using pre-built front
end components
- Work with development leads to ensure consistent and correct integration
with back end code and services
*JOB REQUIREMENTS *
- Minimum of five (5) years experience building user interfaces for large,
complex template-based websites
- Minimum of five (5) years experience developing in Visual Studio with
Team Foundation Server, solid understanding of C#, .NET Framework 4, and
IIS 7.
- Expert level front end development using HTML, CSS, object-oriented
JavaScript, and jQuery framework
- Good working knowledge of SQL
- Competency in developing standards-compliant user interfaces accessible
via the web
- Proven ability to create clean and reusable code libraries
- Proven ability to develop cross-browser compatible user interfaces
- Proven ability to translate design documents into semantic code
- Experience using web development tools such as Firebug, Developer
Toolbar, or DebugBar
- Comfortable working in a team environment on large-scale projects
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interaction skills
*Additional Qualifications *
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related discipline
- Experience using HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience with responsive designing and building mobile sites/apps
- Understanding of web forms and event driven websites
- Hands-on experience integrating 3rd party APIs such as Google Maps
