*Job Title: Java Developer * *Location: Chicago, IL* *Duration: 1+ Year* *Essential Background and Experience: * Broad technical skills necessary, with a solid understanding of internet/intranet technology. Minimum 3 years of development experience developing with Java J2EE specifically JSPs and other web technologies on Websphere Application Server required. Minimum of 3 years of front end development technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript required. Knowledge of UX best practices preferred. Experience using Struts, Ajax and Hibernate frameworks preferred. Ability to do medium programming, program debugging, data analysis, problem analysis, and resolution of issues within application systems. Knowledge and understanding of the concepts and techniques of structured programming and design is necessary. Requires support and guidance only occasionally. Experience with TAM integration a plus. Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience and varying levels within the organization. Demonstrated ability to work well within a team of application developers (and occasionally lead portions of the project or tasks). Ability to create and execute effective unit test plans required. Experience with Subversion and JIRA a plus.
