*Title:* *Datawarehouse Tester* posted on 2013-09-12 09:58:35 *Job Description:* *Position: DataWareHouse Tester* *Location: Detroit, MI* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Tasks/activities include, (but are not limited to):* · Preparation of test plans and test cases · Preparation of test data · Verification / validation test results. · Monitoring / tracking of test cases / test scenarios/defects/resolutions utilizing Clear Quest. · Interfacing with multiple project teams / workgroups to ensure all inclusive testing of processes, procedures and operations. · Develop test cases, scenarios, and scripts to ensure application quality. · Participating with end user in testing proposed process and operational changes. · Documentation of test results, test strategies, test processes/procedures meetings. · Responsible for detailed status reporting as well as attending and participating in project meetings. · Develop, create, test, validate, and document claims data within the NPS and local BCBSM claims processing systems. *Top Three Skills/ Experience:* · Ability to handle multiple tasks and implementation timeframes · Ability to perform as a self-starter, with motivation to consistently produce high quality results · Strong organizational and follow-through skills and particularly strong attention to detail required *Required Skills/Experience:* · 3-5 Years experience with Business Intelligence or Data Warehousing · Extensive SQL Server experience · Extensive DTS experience · Working knowledge of systems development life cycle phases and deliverables. · Experience working with end users to document operational and process changes. · Experience developing and executing test scenarios for unit, process, function, system integration, and acceptance testing. · Experience developing and maintaining technical reference documents. · Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for testing and validating results. · Ability to produce a variety of business documents that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought and orderliness of presentation. · General understanding of project phases. · Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills required · Strong organizational and follow-through skills, and particularly strong attention to detail required. · Strong creative problem solving skills required. · Demonstrated flexibility, self-discipline and ability to work independently, as well as within a group, required. · Ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external clients required. · Ability to handle multiple tasks and implementation timeframes required · Ability to interact effectively with company representatives at various levels required. · Previous experience preparing written requirements, test plans, and other project deliverables · Previous experience executing test plans, test strategies, defect tracking, and work plans · Demonstrated strong creative problem solving and analytical skills *Preferred Skills/Experience* · Oracle experience · Informatica experience · Cognos experience · Experience with Rational ClearQuest · Minimum of 3-5 years of health care experience preferred. · Knowledge of company operating systems preferred · High proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
