Production Support Engineer We have new onsite requirements for Production Support Engineer for IT One Stop Application * * *Details-* * * *Technical Skills:* Proficiency in the installation and configuration of Websphere Portal 8 platform Proficiency in the installation and configuration of Websphere content management platform Proficiency in the installation and configuration of JBoss Application Server and Tomcat Provide expertise to support and maintain non-production Unix/Linux environments. Tasks include monitoring availability, maintaining UNIX environments, Configuring Clusters and HTTP session fail overs - Configuration , integration with relational databases such DB2, Oracle and MSSQL Integration with LDAP systems such as Active Directory , IBM directory Server Installation and configuration of Websphere Application server and related products Strong Unix / Linux skills Strong Ksh and Perl scripting skills * * * * * * *Job Description:* The technical resource is responsible for contributing to a team that will fulfill environment architect and other requests, provide end to end prod support, and assist with required production deployment. Candidate will work with enterprise wide applications and personnel as well as other team members in a challenging, fast paced atmosphere to establish and maintain high availability of production environments. A successful candidate will be a member of a team responsible for team deliverables and meeting specified milestones. Candidate will be required to build environments to specifications, set up and modify configurations, Application Server administration, install kits, perform advanced troubleshooting and provide root cause analysis, Monitor Server processes, Server component availability, and write shell scripts and SQL queries. A successful candidate will also be able to follow, maintain, document, and help establish standard processes to ensure repeatability. This job requires the ability to work as needed to meet software release deadlines. Demonstrated ability to act as the single point of contact in application environment support for all stakeholders Demonstrated ability to perform problem solving, troubleshooting, and identifying root cause Demonstrated ability and commitment to work both as an individual and as a member of a team to support team mates and customers Coordinate and execute release management for all Websphere Portal platforms. Establish, maintain, and support systems used for development of Portal applications Support and extend the use of continuous integration environments. Establish, maintain, and extend software development environments for portal development teams. Maintain documentation library for development systems and build documentation for new systems in order to transition projects to operational teams. Create, maintain, and support the VM library used for development. Provide research and other technical support to development and operations teams on technical subjects, including acquisition and support of third-party products. Prepare activity and status reports for active projects as required. Work with operations teams to build supportable production platforms. Provide development operational support for production systems as assigned. Strong analytical and thinking skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong technical writing skills.
