The two programmers we are hiring will be designing the entire system. It will be vital that they operate under minimal direction. The responsibilities of the developer/programmer include: Develop a web based data management system for the USDA Foods Program using DE available software and following the DE’s standard operating procedures. Confers with supervisor and representatives of departments concerned with program to resolve questions of program intent, data input, and output requirements. Responsible for the design, implementation and overall performance of applications to be developed. Interprets project specifications and statements of problems or procedures to create or modify USDA Foods application. Provides application code unit testing, understands feedback from quality assurance processes. Develops application documentation as needed. May direct and coordinate work of others to write, test and modify computer programs.
