Linux Administrator with Oracle Retail Point of Service (ORPOS)
Application support.

Location : Virginia Beach, VA

Duration : 1 year

Project start date – 5th January, 2014

1.      CURRENT STATE

a.    The following is an overview of client’s Oracle Point of Service
(ORPOS) project and environment:



Client is currently replacing a legacy Point of Sale application with
Oracle Retail Point of Service (ORPOS) application.  This procurement
is to build database and application servers for the worldwide roll
out of the ORPOS application.

Approximately 70 primary locations worldwide, with 303 stores, 2200+
registers.  Most primary sites have one or more servers, with larger
complexes having up to four.  Some smaller locations utilize a remote
server at one of the larger locations.

Hardware consists of Fujitsu servers and registers with RHEL 5.9
Operating System.  Single server locations run the database on the
bare metal server, with the application server running in a VM.

Servers currently run Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition version
11.2.0.3 (64 bit), Oracle Application Server 10g Enterprise Edition
version 10.1.3.4, Java 1.5 and ORPOS version 13.0.3.

Servers will be physically located off-site; they will be built and
configured remotely and shipped to store locations.

Client servers, databases, web servers and applications must comply
with both DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and
Payment Card Industry (PCI) security requirements.



SCOPE

Work to be performed will include, but not be limited to:

1)      Configure Remote Management Consoles

2)      Build RAID array for OS and application data

3)      Configure hosts in Satellite

4)      Build virtual machines and install RedHat Linux OS and patches
on server and register hardware via Satellite

5)      Create application user and service accounts

6)      Configure out of band management

7)      Build filesystems for application data

8)      Install and configure NEXCOM standard applications, including
Splunk, HBSS, Tripwire, McAfee Anti-Virus, Tivoli Storage Manager
(TSM) on servers and registers

9)      Run manual and automated security scans to ensure compliance
with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and DIACAP
security requirements.

10)   Remediation of security vulnerabilities found during these reviews

11)   Complete all required documentation including asset management
and security documentation (PPSM and POAM)

12)   Run prep scripts on servers and registers during deployment

13)   Verify servers and registers are on the network and logged into
Xymon after installation at store locations

14)   Provide technical support during the roll out, during and after
go live.  Second and third shift support may be required.



CONSULTANT Requirements



a.    Technical

1)      Knowledge and ability to install and upgrade and configure
Linux operating systems and application software in a large network
environment.

2)      Experience with Oracle Retail Point of Service (ORPOS)
application is a plus.

3)      Installation/maintenance/support of Oracle database and
application server support

4)      Implementation of security policy and technology, including
Oracle Advanced Security encryption.

5)      Implementation and maintainenance of database backup and
recovery methodologies including RMAN and Data Pump.

6)      Value added experience with ORPOS, PCI and DIACAP



b.    Certifications

1)      IA Certification:  One of the following certifications:
Security+, GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Security
Certified Network Professional (SCNP), Systems Security Certified
Practitioner (SSCP); or any one of the following higher level
certifications: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA),
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC
Security Expert (GSE), Security Certified Network Architect (SCNA).
NEXCOM preferred certification is Security+

2)      Technical certification equal to or better than CompTIA Linux+
is required.



c.    Information Assurance (after selection but before commencement of work)

1)      Consultant must obtain Nexcom Security / Information Assurance
(IA) approval to access NEXCOM’s network as an IAWF IAT-Level II.

2)      DoD SAAR-N, JPAS and eQuip forms required to initiate approval
and background investigation (to be provided upon award).

3)      Certificate of Completion of Cyber Awareness Challenge Training

4)      US Citizen



Technical.  The technical factors used for evaluation are listed
below.    All factors & sub-factors are considered in descending order
of importance:

requirements for IAT-2 level access

Corporate Capabilities

a)      Relevant experience in providing Oracle Consulting Services

b)      Relevant experience with retail and/or government agencies
