Job Title:Business Analyst Location:Providence, RI Duration:3 months to start, contract to hire Note: Business Analyst with Healthcare/ BPM experience Job Description: 6+ years of successful business analysis or project management experience including writing business requirements 6+ years experience in the software development methodology lifecycle - including business planning, data analysis, process analysis and design; business, functional, and non-functional requirements analysis, use case analysis, system design, development, testing, and implementation 6+ years experience working in and/or leading dynamic cross-system teams using a structured project methodology Experience facilitating meetings with large groups of business and IT representatives required. Experience supporting large projects and concurrent projects required. 1 to 3 years experience developing use cases using a software development methodology Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) Preferred Qualifications • Experience with website design and development a plus. Experience in mobile and/or web analytics a plus. Experience in the Health Care and/or PBM industry a plus. Technical and development background a plus Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, assess risk, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements Reasoning and decision-making skills, to determine and recommend solution alternatives that satisfy requirements while also meeting aggressive schedules and budgets Facilitation skills, to lead requirements elicitation workshops Observational skills, to validate data obtained via other techniques and expose new areas for elicitation Writing and Verbal skills with a meticulous attention to detail, to communicate information effectively to customers, managers, and technical staff Organizational skills, to work in a fast-paced environment, on multiple projects and tasks concurrently, while also working with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as customers, project management, and technical staff) Modeling skills, to represent requirements information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language Education Bachelor Degree in Business, Information Systems, or Computer Science required.
