Description:
Applies mastery of skill in procedures, techniques, and tools related to:
Requiresminimum 4 – 7 year of experience supporting Operations Manager,
which include – Install/upgrade, agent installation/upgrade, Node
Commission/Decommission, HTTPS/certificates, OVO database
install/configure, Manager of managers configuration, policy/template
creation, Knowledge of SPI, trouble-shooting, integrations with NNM,
SiteScope and other alert forwarding tools.
Sound knowledge in HP OMU, OMW
Administration and troubleshooting of primary OMU and OMW management server
and managed nodes for heterogeneous environment.
Template and policy (OMU and OMW) creation, user, user profile creation,
Flexible Management configuration
Installation and troubleshooting of OVO Agent and SPIs (DBSPI, OSSPI, etc)
Good Experience in implementing new HPOV management servers and Agents
Administrating and supporting HPOV tools like NNM, OVOU, OVOW, OVPM, OVPA,
BSM, BPM, and Site Scope
Working knowledge on integrations of third party tools and/or other
monitoring environments
Migrate/implement/transform deals to the best practice standard monitoring
solutions
Troubleshooting of HP OM skills on windows and UNIX Platform
OS SPI, DB SPI, and any other SPIs (Oracle/VMware/SQL etc.) installation
and configuration for UNIX and window
Co-ordination with the vendors and the customers for various configurations
SiteScope Description:
Applies mastery of skill in procedures, techniques, and tools related to:
Adding servers remotely via automation as well as manually
Modifyingout of the box templates too create Customer Monitoring Templates
Creation of monitoring probes for URL’s and related testing procedures
Assist DBA staff in maintenance of supporting Database environment
Knowledge on DR / HA
Creations, modification, and retirement of SiteScope Alerts
Configure forwarding alerts to OMU, OMW, OMi (BSM).
Essential:
Excellent knowledge of Windows and Unix Administration
Knowledge on databases (Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase, etc)
Strong knowledge on SNMP and MIBS
Scripting Knowledge - Jython/Python, Javascript, (Java), UNIX shell
scripting, SQL, XML .
Should have experience in rolling out new monitoring tools
Strong skills working in a remote team
Knowledge in system management solutions and concepts
Knowledge on ITIL concepts
Understanding of process and procedures necessary to support a24x7
environment
