*Position Title: SAN Engineer (**Infrastructure Storage)* *Duration: 5+months* *Location: Redmond, WA* *Responsibilities:* Management, maintenance and implementation of EMC Storage environment (VNX and Clariion) Design and implementation of SAN which includes installing and configuring of EMC storage boxes and fiber channel switches Manage fiber switches/directors from Cisco, Brocade and Mcdata (Zoning / VSANs / FC-IP / ISL setup) Storage provisioning, LUN Management, LUN masking, zoning, performance management and volume management (Planning, allocations and de-allocations). Installation, configuration and operation of EMC software products (Powerpath, Unisphere, NaviCLI) Extensive provisioning, new implementations, large upgrades or migration of the Boxes. Monitoring and optimization of the performance, tuning, capacity planning, proactive monitoring and automation of storage boxes. Storage virtualization and good technical exposure in Virtual provisioning using vHBA Manage Clariion arrays using Navisphere manager or Unisphere manager Manage multipathing softwares (EMC Powerpath, MPIO). Provide daily, weekly and monthly storage status reports. Comfortable in opening case with EMC and driving them to closure Liaise and work with hardware/software vendors and project groups as required. Analyze and resolve escalated problems within target. Trouble shooting Storage related problems and alerts monitoring. Should work with vendor on new trends and measure to cut cost, time and improve productivity. Vendor management - Lesion with vendor – technically and commercially Work with vendor on new trend and measure to cut cost, time and improve productivity *Primary Skills/Must Have:* Extensive experience in Storage Area Network (SAN) 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure - Maintaining SAN Experience in VNX, Clariion, Powerpath, Unisphere, NaviCLI Understanding of ITIL principles, practices and processes – Change Management Processes General understanding of basic IT components (server infrastructure, Hyper-v, networking) Strong oral and written communication skills.
