Title: GIS Analyst posted on 2014-02-19 15:22:08 Job Description: *Position: GIS AnalystLocation: Memphis, TNDuration: Long term* *JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:* The GIS Analyst is responsible for performing the assigned technical tasks to satisfy the need for GIS projects or services that support the activities of various city divisions and departments. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* - ESRI ArcGIS version 10 and above map development to support of web-based GIS applications' base map and geoprocessing services - Provide geodatabase and data maintenance for divisions as needed - Data capturing and conversion of GIS data for all GIS activities in compliance with industry standard topology guidlines - Ensure that metadata is compliant with FGDC standards for all map data - Perform complex GIS analyses with a variety of data formats, Shape Files, Personal Geodatabases, Third Party data sources (Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, etc.), images - Conduct high-level statistical modeling utilizing ArcGIS Statistical Analysis tools and extensions including Model Builder - Work as part of the GIS team to develop distributed products via web-based technology and desktop software - Expert utilization of the entire suite of ESRI GIS software including all extensions (Network Analyst, Spatial Analyst, etc) to perform high-level analysis to support various mapping projects and web-based applications - Expert in performing all Python Scripting services needed for support of web-based applications - Expert utilization of ArcGIS Server management tools to deploy and manage map and web services *QUALIFICATIONS:* - Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, Planning or other related field. - 2-3 years professional working experience in GIS techniques and methodologies - Expertise in ESRI software including current version of ArcGIS/ArcInfo and all ArcGIS extensions - Working Experience with ArcGIS Server management tools - Working Experience in writing and utilizing Phython Scripting language - Windows Operating Systems environment experience - Knowledge of industry standard data models for municipal government agencies *PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:* - Masters Degree in Geography, Computer Science or a related field preferred - Working experience in GIS application development Click here to view full job description and apply<http://www.ejobsville.com/display-job/113812> (Guest users can also apply) ------------------------------ Best regards, eJobsVille.com - For The Best Tech Jobs In Town -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP or Oracle Financials" group.
