*Need : LAN ArchitectLocation : CINCINNATI, OH Duration : 7 Months* "Responsible for providing technology direction & oversight, leading the definition and design of LAN architectures, evaluating & conducting the analysis of alternative architectures and proposing better options/ recommendations, creating architectural standards, develop design and configuration standards, technical specifications, creating technology strategy and roadmaps, defining processes to ensure conformance to standards, instituting solution-testing criteria, defining a solution's cost-of-ownership and developing business cases, and promoting a clear and consistent business vision through technical architectures. *Key Responsibilities:* Responsible for providing infrastructure analysis and design services Analyze and understand clients’ needs and expectations, and convert them into technical specifications as well as evaluate alternative architectures and trends Conduct critical analysis of technology and associated operational processes, with a view to recommending designs & strategies that will improve service, lower costs, and prevent unforeseen operational issues Track existing industry trends and vendor product offerings Define standard infrastructure hardware platforms and associated software versions for router and switches implementations Ensure technical architectures and solutions represent sound directions for client and anticipate the subsequent growth of the solutions. Articulate key aspects of architecture and design (e.g., scalability, availability, manageability, robustness, appropriate incorporation of new technology). Develop presentations, customer memorandums, and other communications to effectively represent these aspects of data network architecture Interview clients’ technical teams to understand business requirements & gather relevant information to facilitate architectural requirements definitions Drive the technical design of reference architectures and create architecture, design and configuration standards Present standards & architectures to the standards Board, executive management, clients, Takes responsibility to review/ lead new solution recommendations/ projects; interface with project managers/clients Review new projects; maintain a technology roadmap and propose technology solutions to service problems Conduct technical feasibility analyses for projects Establish, explain, and validate the solution testing criteria for projects Provide support to project managers, assist in creating proposals, including solution alternatives and the identified cost of ownership for individual architecture options Transfer knowledge and support technical project staff during the implementation of a solution Transfer knowledge and conduct regular sessions on LAN architecture, design principles and configuration standards and associated compliance processes for the run staff. Publish updates to the architecture, design and configuration standards on a periodic basis. Oversee the release management schedules Final escalation point for owning resolution of chronic LAN issues Serve as L4 technical escalation point for globally-impacting service interruptions and coordinate corresponding troubleshooting and resolution activities Exposure to LAN optimization technologies and techniques *5 years of relevant years in the network.
