*SQL BI Developer With ETL AND Pentaho Experience*Norfolk,VA 6-12 months contract ***Key is someone with Pentaho experience**** Prefer very solid communication JOB SUMMARY We are searching for a dynamic, team-oriented individual with good analytical skills to join a team providing application development support for a Predictive Analytics Platform. Successful candidate will provide expertise in the areas of data extraction/transformation/load (ETL), data mapping and extraction and analytic/operational database support. Work in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment that employs advanced principals of large- scale database development, large-scale file manipulation, and data modeling/mapping/testing quality condition based maintenance technologies. *PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* 1. Utilize business intelligence expertise, business knowledge and technical skills to deliver BI solutions 2. Analyzing, designing, testing and coding of BI front end applications 3. Participate in the end to end lifecycle (design, development, deploy, evolve) of BI implementations 4. Design and develop SQL databases, ETL, and other database components to support BI dashboards 5. Responsible for architecting/building ETL solutions with Business Intelligence tools (preferably Pentaho) 6. Display a strong understanding of data integration and ETL methodologies 7. Hands on experience with handling XML data and SQL 8. Strong written and verbal communication skills; 9. Being able to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment as in a competitive landscape new data keeps flowing in rapidly and the world is constantly changing; 10. Being able to develop or program databases; 11. Having an understanding of how a business and strategy works; 12. Being able to create examples, prototypes, and demonstrations in support of business development efforts 13. Having a good understanding of design and architecture principles 14. Being able to work autonomously *EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TECHNICAL* *REQUIREMENTS* ? Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Systems related field; a minimum of 6 years of experience in a related field. ? Experience with Big Data ? Experience of designing ETL, OLAP Cubes and Schemas ? Experience designing and developing highly interactive reports and dashboards ? Experience managing data from multiple data sources ? Analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills and ability to work with a technical team ? Ability to apply advanced math (including algebra, calculus and statistics) concepts ? Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts (verbal and written) ? Use and maintain technical and professional knowledge, shares knowledge with team members, and identify and apply new technology in a cost effective manner ? Ability to prepare, summarize, and present reports to project management team ? Focused on meeting or exceeding customer expectations ? Can-Do attitude; Willingness and ability to multi-task ? Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals ? Ability to perform as a team member in a cross-functional team environment and achieve consensus decisions ?
