*Location: Rockville, MD* *Duration : 12+Months* *Interview process: Phone interview first and then an onsite interview may be required.* *1.* *BACKGROUND * American Red Cross (“Red Cross”) is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Senior Siebel Developer with 5+ years of strong development experience. In this role, the Sr. Developer will be responsible for working with Technical Lead/Architect, business analysts and other developers to implement and maintain a Donor Relationship CRM solution. He/she will play a critical role in, design, development, implementation and support of eEvents, Siebel Marketing, and OBIEE base applications with integrations to other internal/external applications. The ideal candidate will be involved throughout the entire life cycle of high complexity projects including, but not limited to: research and analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, training, and documentation - following and evolving standards and procedures. *.* *STATEMENT OF WORK: * Contractor is to provide one (1) Senior Siebel Application Engineer that *must have*: · A Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Computer Science or related IT field. · Requires 8+ years experience in the IT industry · Requires 5+ years hands-on experience delivering Siebel Call Center, Siebel eEvents, OBIEE, and/or Marketing projects · Siebel 8.x certification preferred Proposed candidates *should at least have or be*: · Strong interpersonal skills · Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Proficiency in programming languages · Ability to quickly learn new application systems and technologies · Knowledge of basic project management framework and methodology · Ability to accurately break down complex application designs into component deliverables and estimate design and development timelines · Requires Strong Systems Life Cycle methodology experience (AGILE preferred) Selected candidate: · Collaborates with business analysts, other Information Technology (IT) teams and senior application developers and developer leads to arrive at recommendations for technology decisions. This includes package selection, and systems design and modifications. Initiates process improvements for new and existing systems. · Designs, develops, implements, documents, and tests changes to an application subsystem. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and implements complex software applications. Creates more complex prototypes and ensures deliverables are high quality and meet user expectations. Supports system and integration testing activities. Initiates design reviews for new applications and adheres to software development standards. · Coaches and mentors other team members. Performs cross-training and facilitates information sharing among team members. · Collaborates with Business Analysts in completing deliverables. Translates business requirements and functional designs into technical designs. Resolves complex design issues. Acts as senior technical expert to analyze the business needs. · Resolves or assists with escalated software application issues as needed. Develop and execute plans to mitigate occurrence and reoccurrence of production issues. Anticipates long-term support issues and plans for corrective actions. Collaborates with support teams to ensure complex issues are resolved in a timely manner.
