Position Overview: Below is a brief description of this role and responsibilities: ideal candidate should have senior level SQL DBA skills with experience in working/training team Candidate should be an expert in Replication, TSQL, Logshipping, performance tuning and troubleshooting and all aspects of database administration like backup/restore, re-indexing, performance tuning, setting up SQL Server Agent jobs etc. Candidate should be very comfortable with writing joins (both inner and outer joins) involving multiple tables and a good understanding of co-related sub queries. Working with XML data in TSQL is a plus. Candidate should have worked in a Production environment supporting multiple SQL Servers Strong knowledge of transactional replication including setup and troubleshooting replication issues is absolutely necessary Application support with extensive experience in troubleshooting application issues is a must Candidate should have prior experience working with an offshore team and experience training an offshore team is a plus Should have strong understanding of SQL Server architecture and database design Should be familiar with using DMVs for analysis and troubleshooting issues Should have experience working across multiple teams including development, test and program management Typical responsibilities include: Providing support and training to offshore team Working closely with US team in identifying what changes need to be made for China Act as Subject matter expert and help offshore team in troubleshooting and resolving issues Provide On call support Responsible for designing and implementing solutions which will help in monitoring the backend Resolve database performance and capacity issues, and replication and other distributed data issues Developing and creating automated KPI reports.
