Job Title: Senior Reporting / Data Analyst( it’s not a Developer position)
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Length of Assignment: 12+ months
Interview: Phone, then Skype (they prefer to meet in-person, so local
candidates will be a higher preference although they are open to Skype for
the right candidate).
Domain: Financial
Key Skill: If someone is strong in Cognos Reporting, they’ll be more
highly considered.
*Desired Skill Sets:*
- Reporting/Business Intelligence
- Gather requirements for reports development
- Create new reports and report structures in Cognos or SQL Server
Reporting Services
- Maintain existing Cognos reports and permissions
- Create associated data extraction processes
- Help design reporting tables (aggregate data from various sources)
- Data Analysis
- Analyze data using T-SQL queries
- Map data between different systems (i.e. legacy systems to new
applications)
- Work with data clean-up team to find patterns and make data
consistent
- Help with data migration efforts
- Tools/Technology experience
- Cognos and/or SSRS for report building. Some Cognos experience
preferred.
- Proficient with SQL querying language. T-SQL preferred (Microsoft
SQL Server)
- Microsoft Excel
- Data import/export tools (i.e. SSIS)
