Title: SAS Grid Administrator posted on 2014-06-10 18:57:23 Job Description:Perform UNIX systems administration on production and/or development servers. Solaris or AIX, UNIX utilities, UNIX scripting, understanding of hardware. What we are looking for: Client Marketing team is seeking a strong SAS Grid Administrator who can also provide solution architecture leadership in emerging technologies such as Hadoop, R and Real time decisioning. This is a great opportunity for a strong SAS resource to branch out into other technologies. Job Requirements: Install and configure SAS Grid software components in a grid environment • Evaluate business usage and recommend a roadmap for SAS Grid environment and analytics environment • Troubleshoot existing Grid environment and user issues, either PC compatibility with SAS software or compatibility between SAS and other visual analytics tools • Apply patches and hot fixes to the environment when available • Evaluate technology solutions to meet business needs and lead POCs to identify Pros and Cons • Partner in the implementation and rollout of R on Hadoop to business users • Evaluate security risks and identify solutions to enable business agility but meet regulated environments • Lead implementation of visual analytics environment to support SAS users, either Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics, micro strategy, business objects, etc. What you have: • An inquisitive nature to explore new technologies • Demonstrated experience in SAS Server Administration, preferably in SAS Grid environment • Demonstrated experience in UNIX shell scripting • Proven skills estimating effort using a methodology • Proven skills producing technical specifications and plans and communicating timeline for delivery to technical partners as well as business partners • Experience as a technical lead on an initiative which had other resources assigned • Proven skills in developing and presenting architectural solutions • SAS programming knowledge a plus • Proven skills influencing and directing appropriate use of technology platforms, or solution selection • Experience with UNIX/Linux systems administration a plus • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Visio with general familiarity of Outlook and other MS Office applications • Excellent written/verbal communication skills • Team player with strong collaborative qualities and a positive demeanor • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision making and conflict resolution skills • Understanding of Agile methodology an advantage • BA/BS degree a plus Salary: 55/hr on C2C *Click here to view full job description and apply <http://www.ejobsville.com/display-job/187029> (Registration not mandatory to apply for this job)* ------------------------------ Best regards, eJobsVille.com - For The Best Tech Jobs In Town -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP or Oracle Financials" group.
