Job Title: *Scrum Master*
Location: Jacksonville, FL

*Job Description:*
*Essential Functions:*
• Team lead will lead their team through the sprint process to build and
demonstrate the selected items for the sprint and continue to lead the team
through the testing and stabilization activities.
• Manage the sprint process, product backlog (working in coordination with
the Customer Product Owner and Guidewire Product Lead), and sprint backlog.
• Coordinate activities with the Customer Team Leads / Scrum Masters for
their product track.
• Coordinate dependencies across Product Backlog for each sprint with other
Customer Team Leads / Scrum Masters.
• Facilitate the team meetings.
• Model ethical behavior and execute job responsibilities
in accordance with Citizens core values, ethics, and information protection
policies.
• Lead discovery meetings with Business Analysts and business
representatives to gather documentation related to business processes,
functional requirements and workflows for mid- to large-scale system
development projects.
• Work with Business Analysts to interpret customer requirements into
systems design documentation, utilizing Word, Visio diagrams, flowcharts,
use-cases, swim lane diagrams, UML diagrams, prototypes and pseudo code or
other established tools and techniques. In addition:
ü incumbents working as Integration Systems Analysts are responsible for
designing analytical models (BPEL/BPMN) and Technical specifications
(XSD/XSLT/XML/WSDL);
ü incumbents working as Reporting Systems Analysts are responsible for
designing Report Design documents and Data Flow Diagrams.
• Lead the tracking of changes to system requirements throughout the
development, testing and maintenance lifecycle, maintaining accurate
documentation at all times.
• Maintain continuous communication with end users and developers
throughout the systems development lifecycle to ensure the final product
meets the requirements and expected outcomes of the customer, with respect
to application, reporting and/or integration functionality and
presentation.
• Assist the Quality Assurance staff or functions in developing and
executing test plan and scripts.
• Lead the development and maintenance of end-user manuals and systems
documentation.
• Provide subject matter expertise in the development of system
enhancements.
• Provide early notification of issues potentially affecting work flow
efficiency, end user functionality, system interoperability, etc.
• Assist in retrieving information from application data sources for end
users.
• Analyze manual processes and recommend automated and alternative process
recommendations, identifying necessary triggers and dependent events.
• Research, evaluate and recommend technical solutions that may include:
commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software, customized messaging protocols,
internal application development, data transformations and migrations,
and reporting solutions.
• Participate in development of corporate standards for Business Design
Documents (BDD), Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and System Design
Methodology (SDM).
• Provide mentoring and leadership to (standard) Systems Analysts as
needed.
• Additional Integration Systems Analyst responsibilities include creating,
administering, and governing the service blueprint repository and the
enterprise repository for easy discovery and availability of the
services.
*Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: *
• Strong working knowledge of how technology can be leveraged to positively
affect business processes.
• Ability to read, interpret, and transform business requirements into
systems design documentation using a variety of design methodologies.
• Excellent quantitative, data analysis and analytical skills.
• Advanced skills in data analysis, report writing and SQL query.
• Advanced knowledge of and experience with software development processes,
Agile, and SDLC (System Development Life Cycle).
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, facilitation,
mediation, collaboration and presentation, as well as the ability to
communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Strong Customer Service skills.
• Ability to lead the efforts and produce results in a team-based
environment independently and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to provide leadership and mentoring of others.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Additional requirements for Integration Systems Analysts include:
§ ü Expert level understanding on XML Schemas (XSD), WSDL, XML, BPEL, BPMN
and XSLT.
§ ü Working knowledge of Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Enterprise Repository
and Oracle Service Bus.
§ ü Working knowledge of BPMN and its use in the design and definition of
image-enabled workflows within legacy business processes.
§ ü Knowledge of Java related technologies such as Java, J2EE
(EJB/DAO/JDBC/JMS/JSP/Servlets), Struts, Tiles, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL,
UDDI), JavaScript, HTML, XML.
Additional requirements for Reporting Systems Analysts include:
§ ü Strong working knowledge of COGNOS business intelligence products and
Cognos BI Version 10 or equivalent Business Intelligence or reporting
tools.
§ ü Strong working knowledge of Relational and Star Schema / Dimensional
database modeling techniques.
*Required Education: *
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or related
field OR 4 years of relevant experience OR a combination of college
education and relevant work experience equivalent to 4 years.
• AND
• 4 years as a Systems Analyst or equivalent role inclusive of writing
system requirements and design documentation for application
functionality.
• 5 years of IT related work experience in applications development roles.
• Additional requirements for Integration Systems Analysts include
experience with SOA Integration projects, using Oracle middleware
technologies, at medium to large scale companies.
• Additional requirements for Reporting Systems Analysts include experience
with analysis and development utilizing the Cognos Business Intelligence
tool or equivalent business intelligence tools such as Crystal Reports or
Business
Objects.
*Preferred Qualifications: *
• 5 years as a Systems Analyst or equivalent role inclusive of writing
system requirements and design documentation for application functionality.
• 6 years of combined IT related work experience in applications
development roles and/or a data analyst or database analyst role.
o For Integration Systems Analysts this experience would include:
- Strong experience utilizing Oracle Middleware technologies (e.g. Oracle
ESB and OSB (11g), Oracle SOA Suite, BEA AquaLogic, Weblogic server,
Enterprise Repository).
- Knowledge of Web Services standards and technologies (e.g., XML, SOAP,
WSDL, XSD, UDDI, etc.), including WS standards such as WS-Addressing,
WS-Security, WS-I Basic Profile, WS-I Basic Security Profile etc.
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF or
equivalent).
- Working knowledge of BPM tools like Oracle BPM Suite.
o For Reporting Systems Analysts this experience would include:
- Analysis and development utilizing the Cognos Business Intelligence tool
or equivalent business intelligence tools such as: Crystal Reports or
Business Objects.
• Knowledge of Java, web and/or client applications related technologies.
• Experience working with UML, flowcharts or other code modeling software
and techniques.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence or enterprise reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of data integration methodologies and software solutions.
• Knowledge or experience in Property & Casualty Insurance industry and
related knowledge of Insurance industry business practices.
