I need a solid Report Developer for a 3+ month project here in Columbus and I need this person to start immediately, Monday if possible. It is important though that this candidate be *local to Ohio* since I need them to start immediately. I don’t have a formal job description, but the main things I need are both *T/SQL and PL/SQL* along with *SQL Tests* and *SSRS*. Here is a generic description: Required and Desired Skills *REQUIRED:* • BS in Computer Science or related field • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in reporting development and SQL Server 2008 + with Integration Services (SSRS) • In depth knowledge of and experience with Reporting Services as a designer and developer. Knowledge and experience with legacy data helpful. • Data analysis and data mining experience. • Experience working with financial data and aggregations, formulas and complex calculations. • Experience in using the Report Manager, deploying reports, and setting up security. • Expertise in stored procedures, views, functions and table design. • Demonstrated ability with MS Office 2010 (Outlook, Word, Excel), Visio • Excellent written and oral communication skills Job Description Role and Responsibilities • Design SSRS reports for large data conversion effort to assist with data validation and verification from source data to target data. • Design multi-level SSRS reports against large ERP system. • Collaborates with Solutions Architect and ETL Lead to understand business requirements and data model. • Analyze complex external database schema and be able to create reports. • Self-starter who can work with limited supervision and is comfortable working in a collaborative team environment. • Ensures report accuracy by unit testing, user input and data analysis. • Collects, organizes and generates new documentation for reports including technical specifications, layout requirements, parameters, and grouping. • Writes ad-hoc queries as required to assist in conversion effort and exports data in EXCEL as requested. • Assists in data validation by querying conversion database and identifying data that needs to be scrubbed or modified. • Uses data analysis skills to mine data to create complex multi-parameterized reports. • Writes complex stored procedures and data sets using temporary tables, indexing, and advanced techniques like windowing and CTEs. • Creates financial reports for accounting data, retail data and trending sales.
