*Job Title : Software Developer in Test

*JOB Description: *
Data tester assists the successful completion of software projects by
executing on software quality activities throughout the software
development life cycle. The data tester is focused on assuring quality of
data on projects where significant data movement/mining/warehousing efforts
are involved. The data tester is actively involved in test plan
development, test case development, test case execution, test results
analysis, and defect reporting. The data tester is involved in developing
or supporting test automation development. In addition, the data tester is
involved in reviews of requirements, data models, test cases, and other
project artefacts. The data tester will also use development to do
automation.
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Develop test plans based on test strategy
Create and execute test cases based on test strategy and test plans
Review business requirements and software system designs for testability
Participate in reviews of system architecture, data models, and design
documents
Develop scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets, data generators, and
other programmatic test tools as required to execute Test Plans
Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written
formats
Support test lead to identify risks and to develop mitigation strategies
Perform load and performance test if needed
Basic Qualifications
*2-5 years experience with data quality assurance*
Experience with data movement/mining/warehousing projects
Experience with various *ETL process/ data mining tools*
Experience with relational/dimensional database systems
Experience with *data profiling*
Practical knowledge and experience in all phases of *software QA*
Experience with *testing at different levels (unit, functional,
integration, system, load and performance testing)*
Experience with *Oracle and PL/SQL*
Experience in *core Java, C#, Ruby, Perl, and XML*
Experience with *Unix environment, and scripting languages*
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Expert in *SQL (pseudo columns, analytical functions, joins, sub quereis,
data type conversions, etc)*
Should have hands on experience in writing *PL/SQL (stored procedures)*
Good understanding of database concepts such as *Oracle replication
(materialized views), Oracle Data Dictionary (DBA_views), understanding of
schema and schema objects, oracle security, oracle utilities such as data
pump, external tables*
Should be able to perform *Linux shell* commands
Knowledge of *ETL concepts and data stage tool*
Experience working with high-volume, real-time database systems and
applications
*Preferred Qualifications*
*Experience in Financial domain*
Experience working with high-volume, real-time database systems and
applications
Experience with multiple OS and scripting languages
Experience with various data test automation tools
Experience working with iterative development methodologies
EDUCATION:
BS in CS, Engineering or equivalent
