Position: QA Test Lead WITH UAT Testing Experience
Location: WA
Duration:6 Months+
Job Description:
The selected candidates will perform UAT testing of custom developed
financial applications. Since this is UAT, the focus is on Business
Knowledge in the Financial IT domain. I
* Accounting basics and especially packages like *PeopleSoft GL and
Hyperion.*
* Mortgage instruments, MBS (Mortgage Backed Security)
* General Understanding of Fixed Income Securities
* Experience with Back Office processes.
Strong communications skills are absolutely essential, since the work will
involve heavy interaction with the User community. In addition, the
successful candidate will be able to analyze requirements and understand the
business process underlying the back office software being tested. Should be
able to analyze risks inherent in the business processes (e.g., failure
scenarios) and designs tests to evaluate how the software stacks up.
IT Technical skills:
* Create / run SQL scripts to create test data
* Some knowledge of DB client tools for Oracle (e.g., TOAD, SQL+)
* Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
* Experience with Mercury Quality Center.
* Knowledge of rational ClearQuest Desirable
Bottom Line: Business knowledge and some SQL is required. All the other IT
stuff nice to have.
