Please reply to [email protected] Position: .Net/C#/Silverlight Senior Developer Location: Pittsburgh, PA Duration: 3-6 months Phone screen and possible interview in-person (LOCAL or Regional candidates preferred ) Required Skills: * 4+ years experience as a software developer. * Experience with the following technologies: .Net/C#, ASP.Net, HTML , XAML, Silverlight, SQL 2005 and XML * Strong desire to work on user interface design and development assignments using .Net tools such as Expression Blend. * Working knowledge of software development lifecycle. * General understanding of software usability, Object Oriented Theory and OO Design, UML, Design Patterns, N-tier architectures, Web services, and SQL Databases with the ability to create robust software designs that meet the business requirements. * Project exposure to developing .Net windows and/or web applications using Visual Studio 2008 a plus. * Good working knowledge of general accounting practices, thorough understanding of business flow and common EDI transaction sets a plus. * Experience working with or building integration applications with any of the following accounting packages a plus: Great Plains, QuickBooks, MAS 90/200/500, SAP Business One Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Effective in fast-paced environment. * Ability to communicate inputs and ideas within collaborative ad-hoc design sessions, presentations, and in written form to a range of audiences with wide ranges of technical knowledge and ability. * Software estimation skills. * Willingness to dedicate extra effort beyond normal work hours when necessary Responsibility: * Design, develop and maintain software applications and accounting package integrations in fulfillment of the product roadmap. * Provide reasonable and accurate time estimates for tasks, and consistently meet deadlines. * Suggest innovative solutions to technical or customer related problems * Create relevant documentation in accordance with company software development methodology (e.g. comments in code, design documents). * Create unit test cases and apply these against developed software to ensure quality. * Debug software and fix defects uncovered during the testing process. * Work with other software engineers, managers, QA engineers, technical writers, and technical operations team members, as needed, to ensure quality and the successful rollout of new applications or features. * Provide post-release software and application support, including incident reporting. * Follow existing standards in daily work. (e.g. coding standards and design standards). * Learn new technologies as needed to successfully perform these duties. * Help define and evolve product development standards, guidelines, procedures, processes, and metrics. * Contribute to project reports or customer driven evaluations.--
