Title: Oracle Applications Techno-Functional Developer

Location: Bethesda, MD

Duration: 6 Months

 

ROLE: Oracle Applications Techno-Functional Developer

REQUIRED SKILLS: Must have knowledge of Oracle Federal Financials.

Must be able to translate the business processes/requirements into technical
artifacts.

Must have worked in operations and maintenance role supporting software
applications.

Must have expert level knowledge in writing Oracle PL/SQL packages,
procedures, triggers, and functions.

Must have strong oral and written communication skills.

Must have strong knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and must
have worked on at least one application development lifecycle.

Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication.

Able to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced technical
environment

Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Information Management

Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with project managers and
technical staff as well as business users

 

PREFERRED SKILLS: Familiarity with Data Warehouse concepts including Star
Schema and ER Modeling.

Knowledge on ETL tools such as Informatica Power Center 5.x/6.x/7.x,
Informatica Repository Manager and Informatica Server Manager.

Knowledge of system analysis and project management is a plus

Knowledge of Data Warehouse methodology a plus

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:Independently work in Federal budget and finance subject
area.

Handle all budget and finance related user queries irrespective of the
subject area.

Develop and maintain Informatica mappings.

Write Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and functions.

Update ETL design documents, source-to-Client spreadsheets, and software
design specifications.

Perform unit and integration testing.

Understand and design data mart using Star Schema design methodology.

The candidate will assist the  staff in the technical operation and
maintenance of the Warehouse applications.

The candidate must be highly motivated, and be willing to take steps
necessary to ensure that the Client team is continuously performing above
client expectations.

The candidate should be committed not only for developing and providing
high-quality products and support them, but should also view the position as
an opportunity to learn and transition into other areas of the project and
consulting practice.

The candidate that has a desire to develop additional technical skills
related to data warehousing, such as data modeling or in improving current
processes, developing/improving methodologies, would definitely be a plus.

 

EXPECTED DELIVERABLES:

As a member of  Data Warehouse team, the candidate will be playing
instrumental role in analysis, design, development and maintenance of
Warehouse project.  The Data Warehouse is an enterprise-wide web application
that brings administrative and financial data to  user community.   The
candidate will be involved in writing complex Oracle PL/SQL programs to
develop and enhance a federal budget and finance reporting application.
Other tasks involve analyzing transaction errors, troubleshooting issues in
the software, developing bug-fixes, involving in performance tuning efforts,
apart from providing operational support.
