Duration: 6+ months Location: Downers Grove, IL Position: QA Back-end Tester Rate: 40 per/hr Interview Process: Phone -Need to have good communication skills Job Description: Looking for people with Backbend Database Testing. Must be able to develop test cases without a GUI interface. Acxiom has a homegrown automated testing tool very similar to Loadrunner and they look for people with a solid mix between automated and manual testing. *Strong SQL is needed, PL/SQl too*. If they don't' know the commands Select, Joint, Union for queries they wouldn't be a fit. *Oracle database and UNIX.* The Test Analyst is primarily responsible for the analysis, design, planning, execution and maintenance of automated and manual testing, reporting of test results and defect management. Duties and Responsibilities: *Executes test cases / Scripts and analyzes outcomes. *Performs testing and documenting the actual results. *Performs all aspects of defect tracking. *Creates test data if required. *Develop test scripts, test conditions, test procedures and expected results for one or more test plans, including product, component, assembly, performance, and user acceptance tests. *Develop and maintain testing standards and procedures. *Execute test scripts. *Validate fixes and ensures follow through to all test cycles. *Inform the test lead of any issues that may affect the schedule, budget, or quality of the product or the testing process. *Reporting bugs for analysis. *Documenting the actual results and metrics. *Analyzes defects to determine root cause. *Communicating execution status to the Test Manager. *Organizes testing execution and results. *Maintains information in appropriate testing tools.
