*Position Title: *Java Developer - Genesys IVR/CTI - Production Support *Start Date: *8/16/2010 *End Date: *12/31/2010 *Pay Rate: *Up to $40/hour (please try to submit lower, this is a competitive bid) * * * * *Position Description:* Java Developer to provide support for Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and Computer Telephony Interface (CTI) platforms. Will develop and code IVR applications in Java to meet requirements for strategic business projects. Requires basic Java development skills as well as the ability to learn the nuances of a voice platform VUI interface as opposed to a GUI interface. The successful candidate will be extremely eager to learn, and expected to modify, enhance and support application code. The candidate will also be expected to exemplify core values such as accountability, communication, diversity, and teamwork. Prior experience with Genesys IVR / CTI platforms or other IVR / CTI platforms is highly desired. *Roles & Responsibilities:* Work as part of a Java development team. Take specific business requirements and technical design and direction and apply Java best practices in code security, efficiency, and maintainability, while executing short and long duration projects. Support code deployment into various testing environments, unit testing, and provide support for production implementation. Perform defect remediation and testing. Exercise best practices in code management and coordination of code base across multiple concurrent development efforts.
