Position # 1: Positions: Oracle Payroll Position Location: Rockville, MD Duration:6 Months Rate: Open Description: We need a highly skilled payroll professional capable of providing supplemental support for conversion, testing, training and deployment of Oracle Payroll and Oracle Labor Distribution. This individual would be responsible for but not limited to the following: 1) Lead/Assist in System Testing 2) Reviewing and analyzing conversion data 3) Investigating conversion issues and work with the Project team to resolve them 4) Validating developed Reports, Interfaces, and Conversions to the Fuctional Specs and idenitfying any discrepancies between them 5) Lead/Assist in Integration Testing 6) Lead/Assist in Parallel Testing 7) Assessing the Payroll Section for Operational Readiness 8) Leading/Assisting in training, labs, and documentation Required skills preferred include experience in working with payroll processes, including posting Payroll entries to the General Ledger, knowledge of leave accrual processes, and experience using Microsoft Excel and Word. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following: Oracle Payroll, Oracle Labor Distribution and Kronos Workforce Timekeeper, an Electronic Time Reporting & Management System (ETRMS) Client will be conducting a background check on the desired candidate and reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time (with 1 week's notice) for any reason. Consultant should have senior and/or expert experience in: . Implementing an ERP System . Leading/Assisting in executing test scripts in ERP systems . Reviewing and analyzing extracted information from source systems to systems being developed, using innovative ways to validate data, identifying errors and assisting in determining the cause . Investigating conversion issues and working with a team to resolve . Cost Accounting as it relates to personnel charges . Validating developed reports, interfaces and conversions to functional specs . Leading/Assisting in Integration Testing for Payroll related interfaces . Conducting Parallel Payroll Testing, identifying variances and correcting them . Providing or assisting in preparing training documentation . Leading/Assisting in Operational Readiness .
