Job Description:
The Business Analyst /Product Manager will be responsible for researching
and accurately documenting functional requirements, with emphasis on
development of use cases, for high priority projects for the client's Tax
Lot Engine (TLE). Primary project will be to create the requirements
associated with the enhancements required by the Cost Basis Reporting
("CBR") regulations imposed by the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of
2008.

Job Requirements:

TAX LOT ENGINE EXPERIENCE A HUGE PLUS

.         Experience in writing business and functional requirements (BRD*s
and FRD*s), including use case development.

.         Superior analytic skills and the ability to express results
clearly and accurately in writing.

.         Strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.

.         Excellent organization skills, attention to detail and the ability
to meet project deadlines.

.         A background in the financial services field, including a basic
understanding of brokerage processing, cost basis reporting and corporate
actions.

Job Responsibilities:

.         Work closely with various project stakeholders (both internal and
external) to determine system specifications for changes driven by
regulatory requirements and client requested enhancements. Internal
stakeholders include client's Product & Project Managers, Product
Development and Product Assurance. External stakeholders include TLE
clients.

.         Create functional requirements and associated use cases.
Coordinate requirements walk-throughs and sign-offs, verifying with
stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray specific
business needs.

.         Write new or update existing system documentation, including user
guides, client bulletins, etc.

.         Participate in TLE software system testing.

.         Analyze defects identified both internally and by the clients.

.         Provide written status reports of progress to the project leaders.

 

Role: Sr. Business Analyst

Location: Costa Mesa, CA

Duration: 6 Months

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
. Manage and coordinate large projects related to Service
. Manage projects full-life cycle and adhere to Company's and PMI standards
and guidelines
. Ensuring that a good project organization is in place and roles are
clearly defined
. Ensuring that good project plan is in place including all activities for
completing the project, duration and assigned responsibilities
. Ensuring that project control procedure is in place - deliverables
tracking, budget tracking, status reporting, changes/risks/ issues
management, communication, approval and escalation
. Ensuring that appropriate quality assurance practices are followed on the
project, including a good deliverables review and sign-off plan
. Managing and tracking the project budget, deliverables, milestones and
creating status reports
. Facilitating priority setting for the availability of resources where
there are project conflicts
. Manage relationships with stakeholders and their affiliates, leaders, and
vendors to deliver the project successfully
. Coordinate resources within Company to meet client demand
. Exhibit confidence and extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices
when solving business problems
. Push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry
practices and client mindsets
. Inspire client confidence in Company through technical abilities, service
attitude, and business knowledge
. Continually seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen
client relationship
. Effectively resolve client issues and production problems in a timely
manner by rapidly organizing and deploying the appropriate resources
. Escalate IT issues within Company
. Establish and maintain positive business relationships with clients,
managers and teams throughout the organization
. Routinely recommend policies and procedures to help the department and the
organization become more efficient and effective
. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
. Proven track record of delivering quality service
. Partner with the CBU's key stakeholders to determine the overall approach
and organization for defining, scoping, approving and initiating project
. Prepare SOW with clear business objectives, requirements and deliverables
. Developing an RFP where needed; ensuring that an RFP response/SOW complies
with the requirements in the RFP
. Manage all fiscal aspects of the project - the overall project schedule,
resources, deliverables, and budget
. Collaborate with key team members to develop project plan with all
required activities for completing the project, duration and assigned
responsibilities
. Collaborate with and assist CBU's key stakeholders to deliver the project
successfully
. Responsible to conduct reviews and obtain sign-offs
. Ability to work independently as well as a team member
. Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic
environment
. Rapidly assess options and likely consequences when under time pressure to
make decisions or solve problems
. Ability to balance short and long-term priorities to obtain best results
. Routinely makes decisions that reflect learning from past experiences
. Displays a propensity for developing and participating in a team
environment
. Actively listens to others in order to respond accordingly
. Communicates in a manner that is clear, concise, timely and understood by
technical personnel, clients and client executives
