Position: Java/Flex Developer Location: Pittsburgh, PA Duration: 12+ Months Rate: $Open Description: Sr. Java/Flex Developer Senior Java/Flex Developer will provide design, development, and test new applications while adhering to all IT control policies. The Sr. Developer will work across multiple technical and user support teams requiring strong oral and written communication skills. The Sr. Developer should be able to analyze and renovate existing code and propose creative solutions in a time-to-market environment and interact with business users and analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Core Skill Set: Sr. Java/Flex Developer Java, Flex 3.0, Eclipse, XML, Jboss, Linux, LDAP, Oracle, SQL and Web Services 5+ years of experience developing web-based business applications using Adobe Flex, Java/J2EE Frameworks *5+years of experience with XML/XSL/XSLT *Web Services, including hands-on work with SOAP and UDDI *Hands-on expertise in object-oriented analysis & design, with advanced understanding of *Enterprise design patterns, frameworks, and SOA architecture *Proficient in SQL and RDBMs (Oracle) *Participating in the design, development and implementation of a global n tier application *Design, development, implementation, support and optimization of application. Use object-oriented techniques and software engineering best practices including design review, code review, unit-testing, and re-factoring. *Ability to work independently with Strong problem solving and analytical skills. * Contribute to project planning discussions; provide status updates for development progress. *Writes comprehensive concise and clear technical documents. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years experience analyzing, designing and implementing application changes using Java technologies and a Bachelor's degree in related field.
