Position: COGNOS 8 BI ARCHITECT Location: JERSEY CITY Duration: 6 months Rate: Open Job Description: Concentrate on finding a BI Architect who has designed and worked through the development of Cognos 8.X solutions. DESCRIPTION Candidate must have following . BS Degree . 10+ Years of Total Experience . 2+ Years as BI Architect Experience . Strong skills to Analyze, design, develop, and support initiatives to deliver Cognos 8 frameworks enabling end user reporting capabilities as well as advanced reporting development . Good understanding in Data Warehousing concepts, Data Analysis, Data Warehouse Architecture. . Must have experience in designing, working with and development of Star/Snowflake Schema Design, DataMarts and Dimensional Models . Skilled in performance tuning, analyzing query plans and tuning. . Provide technical support and trouble shooting for Cognos related issues . Ability to work with middleware administrators to resolve issues . Experience of working with business users to gather requirements and provide training . Experience with Oracle 11g . Understanding of the entire SDLC process and knowledge of industry standard best practices . Strong SQL skills . ability to work independently with minimal supervision . Must have experience as an architect designing Cognos 8.X solutions. . Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. . Solid oral and written communication skills. .
