ETL Developer with SSRS skills (Telecommute)
The person filling this position will be a member of a small team developing
a highly-integrated .NET/SQL Server based web application. Working largely
independently, on assigned database development tasks, the individual will
be responsible for ETL packages and other database design (relational and/or
dimensional model) tasks and database creation scripts. Person will work
closely with analysts, development team, and Q/A to help create data
migration solutions and create several reports needed for the project.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
10+ years industry experience in database development
5+ years of SQL Server development, specifically with ETL
and/or Data Warehousing experience
Expertise in T-SQL, SSIS 2008 and stored procedure
development
Experience with version management software
Experience in working within large organizations, connecting
to Enterprise data sources using ODBC and/or OLE DB drivers
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Requirements:
SQL Server 2008 Microsoft Certification
Ability to create and document a Data Dictionary and/or
using Entity Relationship Diagrams for logical data design
Experience using MS Team System, for development,
specifically for Agile\Scrum story tracking and for database source code
storage and build/test
Experience using ETL procedures to retrieve data from
Oracle, Lotus Notes and/or Active Directory data sources
Familiarity with Agile Scrum development process: sprints,
retrospectives and daily stand-ups
Experience in SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 (SSRS)
