Role: SAS Developer/Admin Location: Calgary, AB Canada (100% onsite – SAS Canada will cover associated expenses) Duration: January 3rd, 2012 - July 27th, 2012 (potential for extension to Dec 28, 2012) * * *SAS Developer/Administrator- Calgary, AB Canada *Administration of SAS services for existing risk reporting requirements, BookRunner application installations, and enhancements to existing SAS ETL processes and analysis projects. Activities will include but are not limited to: 1. Monitoring & supporting daily/monthly ETL processes written in SAS code, DI Studio, and UNIX shell scripts.· 2. Developing and testing enhancements to SAS analysis projects 3. Converting and enhancing existing SAS ETL process from PL/SQL to BookRunner web services 4. Installing BookRunner upgrades5. Installing maintenance releases and hotfixes of SAS software (server and client) 5. Maintaining user accounts and security 6. Migrating XML between BookRunner environments Key Hiring / Evaluation Criteria and Mandatory Qualifications:· Understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle Commitment to ensuring quality and adherence to business requirements Experience in the installation, maintenance and administration of UNIX-based applications and batch jobs Technical Skills/Business Knowledge Needed Proficiency in Oracle SQL· Proficiency in Solaris / Linux environments Working knowledge of UNIX shell scripting and job scheduling Proficiency in coding for one or more procedural programming languages Nice to have skills/experience:· SAS coding experience· SAS development & maintenance tool experience (Enterprise Guide, DI Studio, Risk Dimensions, and Management Console) O&G Industry experience Understanding of risk analytics concepts Code versioning (CVS) -- Looking ahead to work with you for better Business prospects.
