Our client is a Fortune 500 company in the Chicago area, looking for a Sr. Level Oracle Techno-Functional Lead for a Supply Chain Project. As a Sr. Level resource you will be responsible for business analysis, root cause analysis on supply chain issues and devising resolutions, working with the client to understand business rules and coordinate with onshore and offshore teams. Candidate must have very good experience with logical and physical data modeling, deep understanding of oracle database technology, preferably to the extent where he/she would be able to rationally discuss/debate with database engineering teams in designing solutions, resolving performance/environment configuration issues. Responsibilities: 1. Understand existing functionality, carryout impact analysis for the requested enhancements and present it to customer. 2. Developing Complex SQL & PL/SQL code for supply chain application 3. Performance Tuning SQL and PL/SQL code 4. Stress testing heavy data loads 5. Familiar with explain plan, tracing 6. Developing various PL/SQL stored procedures, functions and packages. 7. Familiar with PL/SQL embedding on Linux shell scripting 8. Writing complex SQL queries using joins, sub queries and correlated sub queries. 9. Documenting the code & packages developed. 10. Eventually transition to be an SME in one of the Supply Chain areas. Critical Skills: 1. 10+ years of IT development experience as an Oracle PL/SQL expert 2. Familiar with Oracle 10g and 11g 3. UNIX and Shell programming experience is a plus 4. Query performance tuning experience 5. Data analysis skills 6. Knowledge of the Oracle Database Architecture 7. Knowledge of programming language(s), software development tools and environment(s) and systems analysis and functional design, along with a thorough knowledge of relational database concepts and design, data modeling and system architecture. 8. Extremely Analytical, Expert in SQL and Data Analysis 9. Strong Database fundamentals and data modeling knowledge 10. Oracle Stored Procedures, PL/SQL and functions, Materialized views 11. Good background working with quantitative data Valuable Skills: 1. Solid Communication skills 2. Supply Chain Functional Knowledge Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or MIS.
