*Position*: Peoplesoft HR Time and Labor, Payroll  Technical developer with
9.1

*Location*: Houston Texas (Downtown)

*Contract-* 3 months plus.  Hiring manager said it is strongly expected to
go much longer- They do 3 month increments on all contracts initially, once
projects progress they will extend 6 months out etc.

*3 main functions of the Technical Developer is:*



   - Develop Code
   - Write technical Specifications received form the functional resource
   - Conduct Unit and system testing



Must be strong in Time and Labor, Payroll and Core HR Modules



The client is on HCM 9.1 so ideal candidate should have 9.1 experience, but
if you have a strong developer with only 9.0 please send them over for
review.



*Overview – PeopleSoft technical developer*

The individual chosen to fill this contract position will have a good
understanding of the PeopleSoft HCM application (version 9.0 or up) and
will be responsible for providing IT Technical (programming) support for
PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 application (Peopletools 8.5).

He/she will work closely with our customers (business), IT functional
analysts, System administrators and other IT teams on a day-to-day basis.

She/he should be technically strong in PeopleSoft Payroll, Time & Labor, CORE
HR and Base Benefits modules. Exposure to Self Service and PeopleSoft
Security is a strong plus.

Roles and Responsibilities include -

-          Will be a key technical member of the Peoplesoft HRIT team
responsible for supporting the Peoplesoft HCM 9.1/ People tools 8.5
application

-          Providing production support for Payroll, Time and Labor, CORE
HR, Base Benefits and Self service modules, from a developer stand point

-          *Thorough understanding of the application functionality (e.g.
Payroll calculation) and business processes (e.g. Time entry to Payroll)
 is required*

-          Working with the functional IT analyst to understand the
functional specifications and write corresponding technical specifications
for system change requests

-          Designing, developing and Unit testing of reports, processes and
customizations

-          Application development using all technical tools provided by
PeopleSoft, including Application designer, People code, Application
engine, Component interface, Integration broker, SQRs, AWE

-          Working tickets submitted by end users while coordinating with
rest of the team

-          Project management and workload management skills are required

*Qualifications*

a)      Must have a minimum of 5 Years of PeopleSoft HRMS developer
experience and at least 7 Years of IT industry experience

b)     Experience working as a lead developer in one or more PeopleSoft HCM
9.1/8.5 setup  is strongly preferred

c)      Excellent working knowledge in all technical areas of PeopleSoft
including Application designer, People code, Application engine, Component
interface, Integration broker, SQRs  and AWE is required

d)     Strong Analysis and Design skills.

e)      Excellent Microsoft Access, Word and Excel skills.

f)       Strong communication skills, written and oral.

g)      Strong interpersonal skills

h)     Self starter – Can lead his/her own tasks

i)       Customer Oriented
