Responsibilities: Reviews project requests containing user requirements for the Data Warehouse. Estimates time and cost required to accomplish project. Attends specification meetings with project team members to determine scope and limitations of project. Designs and develops data warehousing strategy / schema implementation. Develops data model describing data elements and how they are used. Creates and maintains the Data Dictionary. Designs logical and physical databases and coordinates database development as part of project team, applying knowledge of database design standards and database management systems. Implements physical database in accordance with appropriate security designs / constructs to protect company data. Designs and implements appropriate backup strategy for Data Warehouse. Qualifications: Strong analytical, data modeling, ETL, and SQL Server database skills. Project management capabilities and strong communication skills. Experience with at least one small to medium Data Warehousing project using SQL Server 2012. 5+ years of DBA or Database Design Analyst in a SQL Server environment. College degree or equivalent is required.
